Acworth Choi Kwang Do is a Christian family owned and operated Martial Art School. Each member of our family plays a very important role within our school.
Mrs. Chris Jackson is the Chief Instructor and Owner. She is the primary instructor for our main Acworth location. Mr. Tony Jackson, a Head Instructor, is her husband and he helps with the financial aspect of our school and assists in classes when needed. Mr. TJ Jackson, a Head Instructor and her son, becomes the primary instructor if Mrs. Jackson is unavailable. He is also our Information Technology Administrator. Miss Areanna Jackson, an Assistant Instructor and her daughter, helps out in classes and testing on an as need basis.
Our family has also participated on Choi Kwang Do Demo Teams. We all hold 3rd Degree Black Belts and continue to pursue our next Black Belt level. Our training has been under a 5th Degree Black Belt Instructor as well as training directly conducted by Grandmaster Kwang Jo Choi, the founder of Choi Kwang Do.
At Acworth Choi Kwang Do, we are privileged to have several additional Head and Assistant Instructors who teach and assist in classes. We have two additional locations where we teach. We have been privileged to be part of the Timothy Ministry in Woodstock, which is an enrichment program for homeschooled students. Mrs. Jackson and Head Instructor Mrs. Julie Germaine serve as primary instructors at this location. We also have a program run at the Kennesaw Classical Conversation (homeschool support group and classes) location. Mr. David Sayers is our primary instructor at this location. When the need arises, we also offer classes for preschoolers which are held at Eagle Point Church Preschool in Acworth. Mrs. Jackson is the primary instructor for our preschoolers. The rest of our Head and Assistant Instructors help out in classes at all locations.
We have students, preschool aged all the way to seniors. Each student begins training for their own specific reason. For children and teens it may be to develop self-discipline, perseverance, or to help with learning disabilities. Adults may join with the goal of losing weight, overcoming medical conditions, or because it is a dream to become a Black Belt. Many times women begin their training as they want to become more self-confident and be able to defend themselves. Families love to train together where the goal of unity and having an activity that all family members can participate and help each other grow in physical, emotional, and even spiritual areas prevail.
Welcome to our family at Acworth Choi Kwang Do!
